A family in Nyeri County is living in deep pain after losing their daughter, Marion Wanjiru, who allegedly died following a brutal attack in Germany. The sad news has shocked relatives, friends, and many Kenyans both at home and abroad.
According to reports received by the family, Marion had been working in Germany as a house help. Trouble allegedly started after her employer’s wife accused her of having an affair with her husband.
The family says the accusation caused serious conflict in the home where Marion was working.
Reports further claim that the employer’s wife allegedly planned and carried out the attack. It is said that she put drugs into Marion’s coffee without her knowledge.
After drinking the coffee, Marion reportedly became weak and unconscious, unable to defend herself.
While she was in that condition, the suspect is alleged to have attacked her using a kitchen knife. Sources say Marion was stabbed several times on the back, causing serious injuries.
After the attack, it is further alleged that security guards and watchmen were instructed to take her out of the compound and dump her by the roadside.
Members of the public later found Marion and rushed her to hospital in critical condition. Sadly, doctors reportedly pronounced her dead upon arrival at the hospital. Her body was then taken to the morgue as investigations began.
Back in Kenya, Marion’s family is devastated. They are now appealing to the Kenyan government and other well-wishers to help them bring their daughter’s body back home for burial. The family says they are unable to raise the required amount on their own.
The tragic incident has sparked anger and sorrow, with many Kenyans calling for justice and proper investigations into the matter.
