In Busia County, residents were left in shock on Sunday morning after a 33-year-old woman walked into a police station to confess a shocking act. The woman, known by her nickname Sadra Mtamu, pleaded for mercy and asked for forgiveness.
In front of police officers, Sadra admitted that she had affected more than 300 young men with HIV. She revealed that a quarter of them had already died from the dangerous virus. Her confession left officers stunned as she openly admitted her past actions.
Sadra explained that she used to wear revealing clothes and stand by the roadside, which attracted many young men.
She said she would give them her phone number, invite them to a guest room, and pay them, saying she acted knowingly because she did not want to face the virus alone.
Now, she says she feels deep guilt for her actions. She told the police that she wants to stop this behavior and return to God. Sadra begged the authorities and the public for forgiveness, saying she is ready to face the consequences of her past deeds.
Following her confession, police detained her in a cell while investigations continue. More details on this shocking case are expected to be released in the coming days.
The story has left the community in Busia worried and questioning how such incidents could happen in their midst.
