A Kenyan lady identified as Miriam from Kakamega County has reportedly gone missing in Saudi Arabia just hours after sending a disturbing message to her sister.
The message, which has now caused fear and concern among family members, hinted that she might be in serious danger. According to Miriam’s sister, the two had communicated through a video call shortly before she disappeared.
During the call, Miriam appeared weak and tired. She also had visible bruises and injuries on her face, something that immediately worried her sister.
The sister further revealed that Miriam complained of being abused and tortured while working in the foreign country.
She said Miriam sounded hopeless and scared. In the emotional conversation, Miriam reportedly asked her sister to inform their parents that she felt the next day could be her last on earth.
Miriam’s sister said she was left in deep shock after the call. She did not even know how to begin explaining the situation to their parents.
The message was heavy and difficult to process, leaving the family in fear and confusion.
Efforts to reach Miriam have not been successful since then, as her phone is no longer going through.
A friend who was working with her in the same house is the one who later reported that Miriam had gone missing. Up to now, her exact whereabouts remain unknown.
