Shock as Senior Police Officer Lured into a Roysambu Lodging by Over 20 Women, Assaulted and Robbed

A senior police officer identified as Mark Maninde is currently hospitalized at Mbagathi Hospital in Nairobi County after a tragic incident that happened to him in Roysambu on Sunday night. The officer is said to be in pain but in stable condition as doctors continue to monitor his health.

In a statement he gave while in the hospital, the officer told journalists that he was driving through a remote area in Roysambu at around 9:30 PM when a young woman stopped him by the roadside.

According to him, the lady looked distressed and politely asked for help, saying she had a problem that needed attention. The officer explained that the woman requested him to follow her to a nearby lodging so they could talk in private.

Trusting her, he agreed and followed her into the room without suspecting anything unusual. However, what he found inside shocked him.

He said that upon entering the room, he found many other women waiting inside. They were about 19 in number, making them more than 20 including the one who had brought him there.

One of the women quickly locked the door, and they all surrounded him. They ordered him to hand over everything he had, including money and personal belongings.

The officer further revealed that the women assaulted him during the incident, leaving him injured and in severe pain. He said the attack happened very fast, and he was unable to clearly see or recognize their faces.

As the officer continues to receive treatment, police have launched investigations into the matter.

Authorities are working to identify and arrest the suspects involved in the shocking incident. The case has raised concerns among residents about safety in the area, especially at night.
