On TikTok, on Sunday, Kenyans were left in shock after a young girl, said to be an 18-year-old Form Three student, made bold claims that quickly went viral and sparked mixed reactions online.
In her statement, the girl said that in the school where she studies, her beauty has made all teachers, including the principal, lose focus on their normal duties.
She claimed that instead of concentrating on teaching and school management, many staff members have started paying more attention to her.
She further explained that whenever she walks past male teachers during break time, they allegedly stop whatever they are doing just to look at her.
According to her, this kind of attention happens regularly and has become part of her daily school life.
The student also said that the way teachers look at her makes her feel very confident and special. She added that it gives her the feeling that she is one of the most attractive girls in the country, although she sometimes feels shy because of the constant attention.
However, Kenyans online reacted strongly to her comments. Many advised her to focus on her education and avoid being distracted by attention from others.
Others told her that school should be about studying and building her future, not concentrating on appearance or how people look at her.
