A family in Homa Bay County is crying for justice after their 35-year-old daughter was brutally murdered while working in a foreign country.
The painful incident reportedly happened in Saudi Arabia and has left the family in deep shock and sorrow. They say they were informed that the attack was linked to claims of religious disrespect.
According to the family, they received information from the woman’s employer that she had been accused of burning a Muslim holy book. However, they say they do not know the full truth about what exactly happened before the tragic incident.
The family insists that their daughter had not told them about any serious disagreements at her workplace.
The grieving relatives further claimed that the employer called them and explained that unknown people stormed the house where she was working.
The attackers allegedly assaulted her inside the house, gouged her eyes, chopped her legs, and placed her in a sack while she was bleeding heavily and in critical condition.
The family says they were told she was later buried far from the home. They also revealed that the Saudi employer sent condolences and promised to assist in exhuming the body and helping return it to Kenya for burial. Despite this promise, the family says they are still in pain and confusion.
The family is now appealing to the Kenyan government to step in and help them find justice. They want a full investigation so that the truth about their daughter's death can be known
