Just In: DP Kithure Kindiki Reveals When He Will Resign After ODM Declares Interest in His DP Seat

Some social media sources have revealed that Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has broken his silence following the announcement by the ODM Party that they are interested in his position as Deputy President.

In a statement, Kindiki said he has been under pressure to step aside and allow Oburu Odinga, the ODM leader, to take over his seat.

After carefully considering the situation, he revealed that he has made a decision regarding when he will leave the position.

Kindiki further explained that if President William Ruto assigns him another role in government, he will step down as Deputy President after the 2027 elections and take up the new position offered by the president.

He also highlighted that he was appointed as Deputy President by President Ruto, with the backing of Kenyan citizens.

Kindiki emphasized that anyone interested in the DP seat should wait until the next general election, where either the president or the people of Kenya will have the final say on who holds the office.

This statement comes at a time of rising political tension, as ODM’s interest in the DP seat has sparked discussions across the country about the next political moves ahead of 2027.

Analysts say Kindiki’s clear message shows he is willing to respect the political process while also leaving room for future opportunities within the government.
