In Dagoreti North, Nairobi County, a tragic incident occurred where a 17-year-old boy was attacked by an angry mob. The boy was stoned to death, and his body was later set on fire, leaving the community in shock.
According to reports, the boy had been sent to a shop by his mother. While walking and scrolling on his phone, two ladies riding a motorcycle approached him from behind and snatched the device.
As the boy tried to chase them and raise an alarm, the ladies shouted "thief," which immediately drew the attention of people nearby.
Before he could explain what happened, a man struck him on the head with a heavy object, causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.
While he lay on the ground, the mob began throwing stones at him, killing him instantly. Shockingly, the two ladies who had cried "thief" poured petrol on his body, and another man set it on fire.
Police officers have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are appealing to anyone with information to come forward, and more updates are expected as the case unfolds.
