According to information shared on social media, the principal was said to be going through a difficult time in his marriage before the tragic moment happened.
Reports indicate that the principal had gone to relax near the ocean in Mombasa when he received a phone call from a close friend.
In the trending TikTok videos, it is claimed that the friend informed him that his wife had been seen in the company of another man. The news is said to have deeply hurt him.
Eyewitnesses claim that shortly before collapsing, the principal cried out in pain and frustration.
He allegedly revealed that he had borrowed more than Ksh 1.6 million in loans in an effort to please his wife. It is also reported that he had been giving her more than half of his monthly salary to support her lifestyle. Those who were near him say he appeared very stressed and heartbroken at the time.
Moments later, he reportedly fell down and became unconscious. People nearby rushed to assist him before emergency help arrived, but sadly, he did not survive.
The incident has sparked conversations online, with many Kenyans urging couples to communicate better and manage financial pressure wisely. Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the exact cause of his death.
