Kenyans have been left in shock after a popular Nairobi-based pastor made a surprising claim about his past relationships. The pastor alleged that when he was in his 20s, before he became saved, he once dated social media personalities Alicia Kanini and Marion Naipei.
His statement has sparked mixed reactions online, with many people questioning his intentions and the timing of his claims.
Speaking during a recent church session and later in a recorded statement, the pastor explained that his life changed completely after he joined a Bible college. He said that is where he got born again and decided to leave his old life behind.
According to him, after accepting salvation, he completely forgot about the two women and focused on serving God and building his ministry. He added that he lived peacefully for many years without following their lives or activities.
However, the pastor said he was recently shocked and deeply uncomfortable after hearing that Alicia Kanini and Marion Naipei are allegedly involved in activities he described as sinful online, which they are using to earn a living.
At first, he said he did not believe the stories and dismissed them as rumors meant to destroy reputations.
The pastor explained that his heartbreak came after he personally saw the content being shared on a Telegram channel.
He claimed that what he saw confirmed the rumors and left him very disappointed. According to him, it was painful to see people he once knew being exposed in such a way on the internet.
He went on to say that he feels a spiritual responsibility to help the two women change their ways.
The pastor claimed that the online business they are allegedly involved in is damaging their image and pushing them further away from God. He stated that his goal is not to judge them, but to guide them back to a better path.
In a bold vow, the pastor said he is ready to help redeem them from what he called the sin of exposing their bodies for money. He even claimed that he wants to help them find good husbands within his church.
