A woman identified as Mary Wambui Nyakei is currently serving a 30-year jail term at Lang’ata Women’s Prison after being found guilty of killing her husband. The shocking case has left many people talking, especially after details emerged that she was influenced by a pastor who admired her beauty.
According to Mary, her troubles began in the church she used to attend. She said the pastor approached her and openly expressed his desire to marry her.
However, Mary told him that she was already married and could not accept his proposal. She believed that would be the end of the matter, but things took a dark turn.
Mary explained that when she informed the pastor about her marriage, he laughed and did something unexpected.
She claimed that the pastor gave her a knife and advised her to attack her husband while he was asleep. He allegedly told her to stab him at least eight times so that the plan would succeed.
In a moment she now deeply regrets, Mary said she followed the pastor’s advice. After committing the act, she was arrested shortly after and taken to court, where she was charged with murder. The court later found her guilty and sentenced her to 30 years in prison.
While speaking from prison, Mary said she feels great pain and regret over her actions. She also revealed that since she was jailed, the pastor has never visited her or tried to help her in any way.
She now warns others to be careful and not to follow harmful advice, no matter who gives it.
