It was a very sad moment for many Kenyans after news emerged that a well-known politician from Machakos County collapsed and died inside a toilet in his home on Thursday morning.
According to reports shared by his wife, the politician woke up feeling normal and healthy. She said he did his morning activities as usual and later went straight to the toilet, not showing any signs of illness or pain at that time.
However, the wife added that the deceased stayed in the toilet longer than usual, which made her feel worried. She decided to go and check on him, but unfortunately, when she reached the toilet, she found him already dead.
The politician, identified as Mark Odhinto, who was planning to vie for the MCA seat in the upcoming elections in Machakos County, has left many people shocked and in deep sadness.
Many locals who knew him described him as a friendly and hardworking leader who had a strong desire to serve his community.
What made the situation even more painful is that there were signs of a snake bite found on his left leg, raising questions about what really happened in the toilet.
His body was later taken to Machakos Referral Morgue for preservation and further examination.
Meanwhile, leaders and friends who knew him have started sending emotional messages of condolence to the family during this difficult time
