Family Mourns Death of KDF Recruit Victor Sang During Eldoret Training

A family in Trans-Mara is grieving the sudden death of their relative, Victor Sang, who passed away during training at the Eldoret Defence Forces Training School.

Victor reportedly developed health complications during the training exercise and was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His body was later moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) confirmed that Victor was among three recruits who died during the training exercise. KDF extended condolences to the families and said an investigation into the deaths is ongoing.

Speaking about their loss, Victor’s family said they were only allowed to view the upper part of his body. They are awaiting postmortem results and said the KDF had agreed to cover medical bills and burial costs. 

The grieving father emphasized that Victor had been healthy when he left home and pledged to accept the findings of the postmortem.

The deaths have sparked concern on social media, with Kenyans urging authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatalities.
