Majengo, Vihiga County – Tension and confusion unfolded on Monday in Majengo after a 52-year-old man, reportedly a bishop, was allegedly found inside a lodging with his daughter. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
Reports indicate that the bishop’s wife was informed that her husband had been spotted entering a guest room with their 23-year-old daughter. She quickly went to the scene accompanied by two officers.
By the time they arrived, a large crowd had already formed outside the lodging. The young woman strongly rebuked both the gathering crowd and her mother, questioning why they had rushed to the scene and accusing them of overreacting.
She later explained that her father had invited her to the lodging for what she described as an important discussion, insisting that nothing inappropriate had taken place between them.
She also criticized her mother and the police, terming their intervention unnecessary and saying they had disrupted what she called a private learning or discussion session while embarrassing her father in public.
However, the bishop’s wife maintained that it was suspicious for her husband to meet their daughter in a lodging facility instead of a more appropriate and safe setting.
Despite the daughter’s explanation and defense, the bishop was arrested and taken into custody over allegations of engaging in inappropriate conduct with his daughter. He is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
