A family from Nyeri County is going through immense grief after the death of their daughter, Marion Wanjiru, who is reported to have died following a violent attack in Germany. According to information shared with the family, Marion had been working in Germany as a domestic worker.
Problems are said to have begun after her employer’s wife accused her of having an affair with her husband, an allegation that reportedly triggered serious tension in the household.
The family claims that the accusation escalated into conflict in the home where Marion was employed.
Further reports allege that the employer’s wife carefully planned the attack. It is said she allegedly laced Marion’s coffee with drugs without her knowledge.
After consuming it, Marion is said to have become weak and lost consciousness, leaving her unable to defend herself.
It is further alleged that while she was in that vulnerable state, she was attacked with a kitchen knife. Sources claim she was stabbed multiple times in the back, sustaining severe injuries.
After the incident, it is alleged that security personnel were instructed to remove her from the premises and abandon her by the roadside.
Members of the public are said to have later found her and rushed her to hospital in critical condition, but she was reportedly pronounced dead on arrival. Her body was later taken to the morgue as investigations commenced.
In Kenya, her family is left devastated and heartbroken. They are now appealing to the government and well-wishers for assistance in repatriating her body for burial, saying they are financially unable to manage the costs.
The incident has triggered widespread outrage and sorrow online, with many Kenyans demanding justice and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
