A senior police officer based in Machakos County is currently receiving treatment after a disturbing incident that allegedly took place in Mlolongo.
While speaking from the hospital, the officer said he was attacked by a group of more than 20 women who assaulted him and robbed him of his phone and money.
He explained that the incident began on Tuesday evening as he was driving home. A woman approached him and convinced him to accompany her to a nearby room for a conversation.
Believing it was harmless, he agreed and parked his car before following her.
However, things quickly turned dangerous. The officer said that while inside the room, several other women suddenly appeared from hiding places, including under the bed and outside the room.
They reportedly threatened him not to scream, warning that they would accuse him of being a thief and possibly expose him to mob justice. He said he was then beaten and assaulted during the ordeal.
After the incident, the officer was taken to hospital, where he later tested HIV positive. He is now undergoing treatment and slowly recovering.
The shocking case has sparked reactions across the country, with many Kenyans expressing sympathy and support for the officer.
It has also raised concerns about personal safety, trust, and the rise of such criminal incidents in some areas.
