Residents in Nakuru County were left shocked on Thursday after a boda boda rider was reportedly attacked by a young woman believed to be the daughter of a senior government official.Reports indicate that the incident started when the woman was walking alongside her friend.
The rider approached her in what seemed like a friendly way, trying to compliment her and show interest. However, the situation quickly escalated.
The woman is said to have reacted angrily, slapping the rider and accusing him of embarrassing her because of his appearance.
Her friend allegedly joined in the attack, and the two beat the rider until he collapsed and lost consciousness.
Witnesses said fellow boda boda riders rushed to the scene after the incident and helped the injured man before taking him away for treatment. Meanwhile, the woman and her friend reportedly left the area in a car.
The incident has raised concern among residents, with many speaking out against violence, especially in public places where no one steps in to help.
