Ruto Flies to Italy for Big Deals on Dams, Energy and Investment

William Ruto has left the country for an official visit to Rome. The trip is meant to strengthen ties between Kenya and Italy and attract new investment.

While in Italy, Ruto is expected to meet Sergio Mattarella and Giorgia Meloni. The talks will focus on improving cooperation between the two countries in different sectors.

The visit is also expected to lead to the signing of several agreements. One of the main goals is to speed up major dam projects like Arror, Kimwarer and Itare, which are important for irrigation in Kenya.

The government plans to increase irrigation to 2.5 million acres in the next seven years. This is expected to improve food production and help Kenya become a major exporter of agricultural products.

Ruto will also attend the Kenya-Italy Business Forum, where he will promote investment opportunities in areas such as infrastructure, energy and farming.

He is also expected to meet international organizations like International Fund for Agricultural Development and Food and Agriculture Organization.

The visit is part of Kenya’s plan to build strong partnerships with other countries to support development.

During his stay, Ruto will also meet top business leaders, address Kenyans living in Italy, and hold talks with leaders in the Italian Parliament. He is also expected to visit important places such as the Quirinale Palace and attend official events.

Overall, the trip is aimed at bringing more investment to Kenya and supporting key projects that can improve the economy.
