On Wednesday, Kenyans were left heartbroken after photos of two young children who reportedly died in a road accident while with their mother emerged online. The sad news quickly spread across social media, leaving many people in shock and deep sorrow.
According to reports, the two children, Blessing Mutheu (6 years old) and Shine Mutheu (1 year and 6 months old), died on the spot after the accident.
Their mother also suffered serious injuries during the tragic incident. The mother was quickly rushed to the hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
Doctors say she is in a serious condition but stable as she continues to get medical care. The most painful part of the situation is that she may not be able to attend the burial of her two children, which the family has already announced will take place on Saturday.
The tragic incident has left residents of Muono, Waita in Mwingi Sub-county deeply shaken. Many people in the area are in mourning as they try to come to terms with the loss of the two young children.
