“Please Come Back Home,” ODM Sends Message to Sifuna and Other Rebels After Fallout With Ruto

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has sent a strong message to Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and other members who had differed with the party over its past cooperation with President William Ruto.

According to reports shared on social media, the party is now calling on the leaders to return and reunite with the rest of the team.

In a statement released through its Secretary General, ODM said it has now stepped back from its earlier 2027 political understanding with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

The party also directed its members to immediately stop any form of political campaigning in support of President Ruto, signaling a clear change in direction.

ODM further claimed that President Ruto had failed to meet the expectations of both the party and many Kenyans.

The party leadership said that going forward, their focus will be to push for accountability and ensure that the president only serves for one term, based on what they described as unmet promises.

The party also used the opportunity to reach out to Sifuna and other leaders who had taken a different stand earlier. ODM urged them to return and work together with the rest of the members.

According to the statement, unity within the party is important in pushing the government to focus on issues affecting ordinary citizens.

The message comes at a time when political tensions remain high in the country, with different leaders taking strong positions on the direction of the government. ODM now appears to be seeking to rebuild internal unity as it prepares for future political battles.
