On Sunday, a woman from Nyeri County took to social media to make an emotional appeal to any single man willing to marry her. She said her life has become very difficult after her family chased her away, leaving her without a home or support.
In a statement, the lady identified as Wanjiru Muswati explained that she had been in a romantic relationship with her cousin, and by mistake, she became pregnant.
She said she never expected things to turn out the way they did, and now she is facing serious challenges. Wanjiru added that on Saturday evening, she was called by family members who later decided to send her away from home.
According to her, she was told that she no longer has a place in the family due to the situation.
She further said she is now living in deep worry because she has nowhere to go.
To make matters worse, she is pregnant and expected to give birth next month. She explained that she is emotionally stressed and does not know what to do next.
In her appeal, Wanjiru said that if any responsible man is willing to accept her and help her start a new life, she would be very grateful.
Her message has since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many Kenyans debating about her situation and the decisions involved.
