Shock as First-Year University Student Appears in Court After Being Caught in a Lodging With Chief’s Wife

Residents of Murang’a County were left shocked on Friday morning after a 20-year-old first-year university student was taken to court following a disturbing incident that happened at a local lodging.

The young man is accused of being found inside a guest room with a woman who is married to a local chief.

According to reports, the woman was earlier seen walking into the lodging together with the student. People who knew her and were aware that she was the chief’s wife became suspicious after seeing them enter the guest room.

Concerned by what they saw, they quickly called the chief and informed him about the situation.

After receiving the phone call, the chief rushed to the lodging together with police officers. Upon arrival, the police entered the room and found the university student inside. He was immediately arrested and taken to the police station for questioning.

Authorities said the student was arrested for allegedly luring another man’s wife into a guest room, which is considered an offense.

However, the woman later gave a different account of what happened. While crying, she claimed that the student drugged her coffee.

She told police that she does not clearly remember how she ended up in the guest room and said she believes she was not in her right senses at the time.

She explained that the student had gone to her home earlier saying he wanted to see the chief, who was not around. As they were having coffee, she went to the kitchen to bring him another cup.

She suspects that during that moment, the student put something in her drink. From that point, she said everything became unclear.

The chief defended his wife, saying that in their 15 years of marriage, he had never caught her cheating.

He insisted that the student should be taken to court to face the law. Police say investigations are ongoing as the case continues in court.
