Residents of Kiharu Constituency were left in shock on Sunday evening after a serious family disagreement turned violent. A 17-year-old girl reportedly clashed with her mother after staying away from home for almost two weeks without attending school.
The incident happened when the girl returned home briefly, not to reconcile, but to collect her clothes.
According to eyewitnesses, the girl told her mother that she had decided to drop out of school because she had found a man who was ready to marry her. She allegedly said the man is 35 years old and had promised to take good care of her and provide everything she needs.
This statement deeply disturbed her mother, who tried to reason with her daughter.
Reports indicate that the mother knelt down in front of the girl, holding her hands and begging her to reconsider her decision and return to school. Despite the emotional plea, the girl refused and pushed her mother away, insisting that she wanted marriage and not education.
