Former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga's dream of having the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) scrapped and its money transferred to county government management has today fallen on deaf ears.
This comes after the Court of Appeal ruled that the NG-CDF is not unconstitutional, overturning an earlier High Court decision.
According to reports from Citizen Digital, the High Court ruling that had declared NG-CDF unconstitutional has been overturned.
As a result, the kitty will continue operating and will remain under the management of Members of Parliament.
It should be noted that the former premier opposed MPs managing the fund, proposing instead that it be scrapped and the money redirected to counties.
