"Nitakunywa Sumu" Drama in Kericho as Grade 9 Girl Threatens to Take Her Own Life if 35-Year-Old Boyfriend Is Not Released After Arrest

Drama was witnessed in Kericho County on Monday morning after police officers, working together with the assistant chief and village elders, arrested a 35-year-old man.

The man was accused of being in a relationship with a Grade 9 girl who is only 14 years old. The incident has shocked many residents in the area.

According to reports, the girl’s parents raised alarm after their daughter went missing on Friday evening. They searched for her but could not find her. Worried about her safety, they reported the matter to the local assistant chief.

The assistant chief then asked police officers to help with the search. After investigations, the girl was found spending time with the 35-year-old man at his house.

However, things took a dramatic turn after the arrest. The teenage girl became emotional and started threatening her parents.

She vowed that she would drink acid and take her own life if the man was not released from police custody. Her words left both her parents and local authorities deeply concerned.

The girl told her parents and the authorities that she is in love with the man. She claimed that he takes care of her better than her parents do.

She further said that he gives her money every day and supports her needs. Because of this, she insisted that he must be released immediately.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions among residents. Many have called for thorough investigations, while others urged the girl’s family to seek counseling and guidance for her.
