As reported by the Daily Nation, Treasury CS John Mbadi sent a strong message to President William Ruto after several Kenyans were injured and others reportedly died during the chaos at the Kitengela rally.
In his statement, Mbadi said that ODM did not fight for bloodshed in the country. He expressed sadness that at every rally, the Luo community seems to be the most affected, with many being injured or shot by the police.
Mbadi warned President Ruto that if police officers continue shooting Luo people during demonstrations, he will take bold action. His words have already shocked many Kenyans on social media.
He also added that he will ensure the organizers of such rallies are arrested and held accountable in court. Mbadi emphasized that he cannot allow the Luo community to continue dying in unnecessary political gatherings.
