In Makanire Private School in Kitale, drama erupted on Tuesday afternoon after two female teachers engaged in a fight over a deputy headteacher. The incident shocked students and staff, as the teachers argued openly in front of the pupils.
According to reports, the fight turned physical when one teacher bit the other on the cheek, causing heavy bleeding. Students quickly raised the alarm, and other teachers rushed in to separate them.
Both teachers insisted in front of the students that the deputy headteacher was their boyfriend. The matter was then taken to the school headteacher, who promised to handle it fairly.
The injured teacher was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the other teacher was instructed to continue with her lessons.
The school plans to resolve the case formally on Wednesday morning.
