A former Cabinet Secretary is facing serious trouble after a Nairobi woman accused him of abusing her and infecting her with HIV. The woman, known by her nickname Sadra Msafi, says she plans to take the matter to court.
According to Sadra, she met the former CS along Mlolongo in Machakos County. At the time, she was working when the former CS approached her and asked if they could spend some time together.
She said that because he was a former CS and was driving an expensive Toyota Prado, she quickly agreed, not knowing what would happen next.
Sadra claims that the former CS took her to a luxury hotel in Kilimani, where they spent the night together. During the encounter, she said he insisted they should not use protection. She agreed because she knew the payment would be high.
In the morning, she says, the former CS gave her 10,000 shillings, warned her not to tell anyone about their meeting, and left.
Later, Sadra decided to go to the hospital for a health check-up. To her shock, she learned that she had been infected with HIV. She tried calling the former CS, but her calls did not go through.
Feeling betrayed and hurt, she has now decided to sue him in court and seek compensation for the damage to her life.
The case has sparked public outrage, with many calling for justice for Sadra and urging accountability for people in positions of power.
