“We’ve Lost Hope in You” — Kapsaret Residents Turn Against MP Oscar Sudi Over Failed Promises

Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi is facing mounting criticism from residents who accuse him of neglecting his constituency and failing to deliver on his promises.

The discontent among locals spilled into the public domain after a group of residents staged protests, expressing frustration over what they described as years of unfulfilled pledges and poor service delivery.

Photos and videos widely shared on social media showed angry residents holding placards with messages directed at the outspoken legislator.

The demonstrators, mostly youth and women, gathered along major roads in Kapsaret, accusing Sudi of ignoring their daily struggles.

Some placards read: “Sudi, we have lost hope in you,” “We deserve better services,” and “We voted for change, not empty promises.”

In one viral image, a placard was stuck on one of Sudi’s convoy vehicles with the message “Sudi we have lost hope in you,” symbolizing deep frustration among locals who claim the MP has been disconnected from the grassroots.

“We voted for him because we believed he would bring change, but our roads are impassable, schools lack facilities, and health centers are struggling,” said one protester.

Another added, “We see him talking about national politics on TV, but never about Kapsaret people’s problems.”

Local leaders have urged the MP to prioritize development and reconnect with the people who elected him.
