Trump Weighs Economic Pressure or Major Military Action Against Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump says the United States is considering two major approaches in dealing with Iran — continuing economic pressure until Tehran’s economy suffers further, or carrying out another significant military strike.

Trump accused Iranian negotiators of being “devious” and said they remain difficult for Washington to trust. At the same time, he pointed to the economic leverage the U.S. has over Iran through sanctions and restrictions on Iranian assets.
