In April 2017, six-year-old Valerie Sowards experienced an embarrassing bathroom accident while attending kindergarten in Cedar City, Utah. Feeling ashamed, she wrapped a jacket around her waist and went to the school office, where she waited in tears for someone to pick her up.

After learning what had happened, Valerie's father, Ben Sowards, wanted to comfort his daughter in a way she would never forget. Instead of simply telling her not to feel embarrassed, he came up with a thoughtful plan.
