"People Think I'm Incompetent Before They Even Talk to Me," Woman Born With a Disability Reveals

Kelsey was born with achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism, a condition that affects bone growth and results in short stature. Standing at just 3 feet 11 inches tall, she has spent much of her life facing unfair judgments because of her appearance.

According to Kelsey, many people assume she is a young child or believe she is less capable than someone of average height before they even get to know her. She says these assumptions can be deeply hurtful and frustrating.
