Breaking: Explosions Reported in Southern Iran as Air Defenses Activated Near Bushehr Nuclear Plant

Iranian state-linked media reported that explosions were heard in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas and on Qeshm Island in Hormozgan province, raising fresh concerns over the security situation in the region.

According to the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA), residents reported hearing multiple blasts in both locations, although officials did not immediately provide details on the cause or any possible damage.

Meanwhile, Iran's Mehr News Agency reported that air defense systems were activated around the Bushehr nuclear power plant, one of the country's most important nuclear facilities located along the Persian Gulf. 

The activation of the defenses comes amid heightened regional tensions, but authorities have not confirmed whether the move was in response to an aerial threat or another security concern.
