"Politician's Son Infected Me with HIV and Threatened to Kill Me If I Told Anyone," Lady Opens Up on How She Landed in Lang'ata Women's Prison Serving a Life Sentence


A woman from Nyeri County identified as Ruth has narrated the heartbreaking events that she says completely changed the course of her life. Ruth is currently serving a life sentence at Lang'ata Women's Prison after being found guilty of murder.

While speaking from prison, she recounted how her troubles began years ago when she fell in love with a man who was reportedly the son of a well-known local politician. According to Ruth, their relationship developed quickly, and they soon became romantically involved. 

She admitted that because the man appeared powerful, wealthy, and respected in society, she never considered asking him to undergo an HIV test before they became intimate. Read The Full Story Here.
