A woman identified as Mercy Musiro from Vihiga County has shocked residents after revealing how a local politician allegedly lured her into a lodging with a promise of buying her four kilograms of unga ya ugali.
In her account, Mercy says she agreed to follow the politician after claiming that her children had gone without food for two days and she was desperate to get something to feed them.
She alleges that the politician convinced her by promising to help her with food, leading her to trust him and accompany him to the lodging.
