Speaking on Tuesday, MP Caleb Hamisi caused a political stir after stating that if the opposition fails to front Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as its presidential candidate in 2027, some members may abandon the coalition and instead support President William Ruto.
Hamisi argued that in his view, Sifuna stands out as the most suitable opposition flag bearer for the next general election.
