Residents of Nairobi County have called on the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to intervene following allegations that police officers attached to Central and Kamukunji police stations are harassing innocent members of the public and demanding bribes.
According to reports, the officers have allegedly been conducting patrols within Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD) from around 6 PM and are accused of abusing their powers by targeting unsuspecting Kenyans with various accusations before demanding money.
