A wave of shock and concern has spread online after a viral video emerged showing a Form Three student tearfully narrating how she was allegedly kicked out of her home, leaving her stranded and desperate for shelter. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
In the emotional clip, the young girl—still in her school uniform—can be seen standing by the roadside as she pleads with anyone willing to listen.
She openly says she has nowhere to go and is ready to accept help from “any kind person,” including strangers, as long as she gets a place to sleep and continue her life.
“I have been chased away from home. I don’t have anywhere to go. Even if it’s a man or anyone, I just need a place to stay,” she is heard saying in the widely circulated video.
The video has sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms. While some viewers expressed deep sympathy and called for immediate intervention from child protection authorities, others raised concern about her safety, warning that her situation could expose her to exploitation and danger.
Many Kenyans have also questioned what could have led to such a drastic situation involving a minor who is still in school.
Calls have been made for local leaders, education officials, and child welfare organizations to step in urgently and ensure the girl is rescued and returned to a safe environment.
Child rights advocates have emphasized that regardless of family disputes, a minor should never be left homeless or forced to seek shelter from strangers, warning that such cases can quickly escalate into serious abuse or trafficking risks.
As the video continues to circulate widely, authorities are yet to release an official statement, but pressure is mounting for immediate action to locate the student and secure her safety.
