A Kenyan lady from Kisumu County identified as Lilian has shared a painful story of how a well-known opposition politician allegedly approached her and promised her a better life if she agreed to his sexual advances. According to Lilian, she was going through financial struggles and hoped for a better future. She says she accepted the politician’s promises because she trusted that he would support her and her child. She believed it was a real opportunity to improve her living situation.
Lilian further claims that the politician promised to buy her an apartment in Nairobi and also sponsor her child’s education.
However, after several months, she says the politician disappeared and stopped communicating with her, leaving all promises unfulfilled.
The mother of one says the experience has left her deeply hurt and emotionally broken. She adds that the stress and heartbreak have affected her health, and she has recently fallen sick as she struggles to cope with the situation.
However, people are being advised to be careful when dealing with individuals who offer gifts or financial help in exchange for personal or inappropriate demands.
