A young Kenyan lady has sparked reactions online after opening up about the harsh realities she says she is facing while living in her rural home, commonly referred to as ushago. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
In a viral video, the lady narrated that life in the village is far from easy, especially when it comes to how people are treated and the kind of expectations placed on them.
According to her, life there is tough and sometimes even discouraging, with little regard for personal comfort or individual struggles.
She claimed that in some instances, people do not care about your situation or condition, saying that even if you are struggling or unwell, you are still expected to carry out demanding tasks without hesitation.
One of the statements that caught attention was her description of being sent on errands such as taking cattle to a bull, something she used to illustrate the kind of heavy responsibilities she says are common in rural settings.
Her emotional expression quickly went viral, with many social media users divided in opinion. Some sympathized with her, saying rural life can indeed be demanding and often lacks convenience.
Others, however, felt she was exaggerating and pointed out that village life is simply about responsibility and community work.
The video continues to attract mixed reactions as Kenyans debate the realities of ushago life versus urban living, with many sharing their own personal experiences from both sides.
