She Ate Too Much: Sad as Vihiga Woman Collapses During Eating Competition in Bungoma County

A lady from Vihiga County is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Bungoma County after she reportedly ate too much food during an eating competition.

According to reports shared by a local source, the incident happened during a public event that had attracted many people from the area.

In the competition, participants were required to eat a large amount of roasted goat meat served with rice.

The rules were simple—whoever finished the food first would win a reward of Ksh 3,000 and 8 kilograms of unga for making ugali.

Many people joined the contest, hoping to win the prize, and the atmosphere was full of excitement and cheers from the crowd.

However, things took a sad turn when the lady, who was among the competitors, suddenly collapsed while eating.

Witnesses said she appeared to struggle before she fainted in the middle of the contest.

People around quickly rushed to help her before she was taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.

Health experts have since warned Kenyans to avoid eating too much food at once, especially in competitions.

They say overeating can cause serious health problems, including choking, stomach issues, and even loss of consciousness.

They advised people to always put their health first instead of risking their lives for money or prizes.

Many Kenyans have reacted to the story on social media, with some expressing concern for the lady and wishing her a quick recovery.

Others used the incident to remind people about the importance of eating responsibly and taking care of their bodies at all times.
