A touching story of a young woman from Busia has moved many people on social media. The lady, who identified herself as Mercy, shared her painful journey and the struggles she is currently going through.

Many people who came across her story expressed sympathy and wished her well as she continues with her difficult journey. In a statement, Mercy explained that she was kicked out of her rental house after she failed to pay rent for two months.

She said life had become very hard for her, and she had no money to clear the arrears. With no one to help her and no place to stay, she decided to start walking back home to Busia.

What has touched many people the most is that she is not alone—she is carrying her 3-month-old baby as she walks.

Mercy further said that she has spent several days and nights on the road. She has been walking for long hours, resting only when she is too tired to continue.

At the moment, she revealed that she has reached Kisumu, where she is taking a short rest at a compound near the roadside before continuing with her journey.

She also opened up about her personal life, saying that her boyfriend abandoned her after she became pregnant. According to her, the man wanted her to abort the pregnancy, but she refused. After that, he stopped supporting her completely, leaving her to face life on her own.

Despite all these challenges, Mercy said she is determined to keep moving. She added that she will continue walking until she reaches her home safely.

Her story has left many people emotional, with some calling on well-wishers to step in and support her during this hard time.
