Residents of Kericho County were left in deep shock after a strange and disturbing incident involving a village elder. The man was reportedly caught red-handed by local residents while abusing a goat, something that many people described as both shocking and unacceptable.
The incident quickly spread across the village, attracting a large crowd who wanted to witness what had happened.
According to reports from people at the scene, angry residents almost took the law into their own hands. They attempted to lynch the elderly man out of anger, but other local leaders and elders quickly intervened.
They managed to calm the situation and rescued him from the furious crowd before things got worse.
The man, who was identified as Murume Kipkemboi, later tried to defend himself. Speaking to the crowd, he claimed that he was not in his right state of mind when the incident happened.
He said that his wife had left him, and he was going through a lot of stress and emotional pain. According to him, this made him lose control and he did not clearly understand what he was doing at that moment.
Despite his explanation, residents remained firm in their decision. They insisted that the man must take responsibility for his actions. They demanded that he compensates the owner of the goat for the harm caused.
Some residents also warned that if he fails to do so, they will report the matter to the police so that legal action can be taken against him for animal abuse.
The unusual incident has left many people in shock, with others expressing mixed reactions.
While some feel sympathy for the man due to his personal struggles, many others strongly condemned his actions, saying that such behavior cannot be accepted in the society.
