In Eldoret County, tragedy has struck after a well-known politician who was eyeing the Uasin Gishu parliamentary seat, identified as Ronald Kiprono, was involved in a fatal road accident. The sad incident has left many residents and supporters in shock and deep sorrow.
According to reports shared by local media, the politician was heading to an important public event when the accident happened. He was travelling together with his son at the time of the crash, which turned out to be deadly.
It is reported that their vehicle was hit from behind by a bus that had allegedly lost control. The impact of the crash made their car overturn on the road.
In a second collision, another vehicle, a 14-seater matatu, also crashed into the already damaged car, making the situation worse.
Sadly, Ronald Kiprono died on the spot due to the serious injuries he suffered in the accident. His son survived but was rushed to the hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Doctors say his condition remains critical as he continues to receive treatment.
The news of Kiprono’s death has spread quickly on social media, with many Kenyans expressing their condolences and shock.
