A single mother from Nairobi is in deep shock after what her son reportedly did in the middle of the night while she was fast asleep. The incident has left her confused, embarrassed, and not sure what to do next.
According to a statement she shared, the woman explained that she had gone to bed as usual, not knowing that something unexpected would happen later.
While she was in a deep sleep, her son woke up quietly and took her phone without her noticing. Since the phone was protected using a fingerprint lock, the child allegedly used her finger to unlock it.
The mother said that her son then went through her phone, especially her photo gallery. To her shock, he selected some of her private photos and shared them on social media platforms.
After doing this, he reportedly locked the phone again and returned it to where it was, as if nothing had happened.
She only discovered the incident in the morning after receiving multiple calls and messages from friends and other people who had seen the photos online.
The situation has left her feeling embarrassed and stressed, as the images were meant to remain private.
The woman says she does not understand why her son did such a thing. She is now asking Kenyans for advice on what steps she should take next, both in handling the situation online and in guiding her child moving forward.
Many people who have reacted to the story are advising her to secure her phone better and also talk to her son to understand his actions.
Others have encouraged her to report and remove the photos from social media as soon as possible.
