"I'm Afraid to Stay Here Alone," Shock as 17-Year-Old Girl Invites Men to Keep Her Company at Home, Says Parents Are Not Around

A 17-year-old girl identified as Stessy has caused a heated discussion online after posting a message on TikTok claiming that she feels unsafe staying alone at home and is looking for company while her parents are away.

According to the viral post, the teenager said she lives in Lavington, Nairobi and expressed fear of staying alone in the house. She suggested that any person willing to stay with her would be rewarded with KSh 20,000.

The message quickly spread across social media, attracting mixed reactions from Kenyans who questioned the safety and seriousness of the request.

She further explained that what she really wants is protection and someone to keep her company because she does not feel comfortable being alone at home.

She added that she would prefer a respectful person who understands Christian Religious Education or Bible study, as she enjoys listening to Bible stories while waiting for her parents to return.

However, the post has sparked strong concern among social media users, with many warning that the situation could be very dangerous.

Some Kenyans advised that strangers should avoid responding to such requests, saying it could lead to serious legal or safety problems, especially because the girl is still a minor.

Online users have also reminded the public about the importance of safety on social media, especially for teenagers who may unknowingly expose themselves to risks.

The incident continues to trend as Kenyans debate issues of parenting, online safety, and responsible use of digital platforms.
