The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced temporary job opportunities for Kenyans ahead of upcoming electoral activities, with applications set to close on Saturday, April 4 at 11:59 p.m.
IEBC is seeking to recruit ward-based voter educators, constituency voter educators, presiding officers, deputy presiding officers, support electoral trainers (SETs), and polling/counting clerks.
All interested applicants are required to submit their applications through the IEBC recruitment portal.
Applicants for ward-based and constituency voter educator positions must possess at least a Diploma in Social Sciences, Education, or Project Management.
They are also expected to have a minimum of three years’ experience in voter education, community mobilization, or social work within the area they are applying for.
For the roles of presiding officer, deputy presiding officer, and support electoral trainer, candidates must hold at least a degree or diploma from a recognized institution and be computer literate. They must also demonstrate strong training and leadership skills.
IEBC further noted that applicants must be able to manage teams effectively and carry out electoral duties professionally.
The commission will pay presiding officers, deputy presiding officers, and support electoral trainers up to KSh 2,000 per day. Polling and counting clerks will earn about KSh 1,000 per day.
Successful applicants are expected to be available throughout the entire election period.
