It is said that the youths were armed with sharp objects and became violent during the incident. In the chaos, they also stoned the governor’s vehicle, causing panic and confusion among those who were present.
Sources indicate that the situation quickly became dangerous, forcing her security team to act fast. With the help of her security officers, Governor Mbarire was safely escorted away from the scene before things could get worse.
She reportedly managed to escape unharmed, although the attack left her shaken.
The motive behind the attack is still not clearly known, and authorities have not given full details about what led to the confrontation. Security officers are said to be investigating the incident and trying to identify those involved in the attack.
