Aisha Munywa, a young lady from Nandi County, has opened up about a painful experience with a prominent opposition politician who allegedly used her trust and abandoned her.
In a statement, Aisha revealed that she was still a college student when the politician approached her. He asked if they could start dating, and because he seemed wealthy and successful, she agreed. Aisha says she trusted him and believed his promises.
She further narrated that the politician offered to marry her if she agreed to spend time with him. Overwhelmed by happiness and believing his promises, she accepted.
However, the politician’s actions after that were heartbreaking. Aisha said he only gave her Ksh 7,000 and told her he would call later so they could stay in touch. After that day, he never called her again and stopped responding to her messages.
The betrayal affected Aisha deeply. She said she dropped out of college because of the stress and heartbreak, as she had truly fallen in love with the politician.
Today, she struggles to rebuild her life and hopes that her story will serve as a warning to other young women about the dangers of trusting false promises.
