Rigathi Gachagua Sparks Laughter in Church Over Alleged Businesses Linked to President Ruto

During a church service on Sunday, DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua amused congregants as he claimed that President William Ruto has interests in numerous businesses and properties across the country.

Speaking before the congregation, Gachagua alleged that the President controls several ventures through associates, drawing laughter from attendees as he listed the supposed holdings.

Among his claims, Gachagua said President Ruto allegedly took control of property belonging to former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju in Karen and is linked to the mobile money overdraft facility, Fuliza.

He further alleged that the President is constructing a private university in Eldoret, suggesting that public institutions such as Moi University are being weakened to attract students to the new institution.

The DCP Party leader also claimed that President Ruto owns Sidian Bank, through which funds from the Affordable Housing programme and Nairobi City County Government payments are processed. Additionally, he alleged that the President has hotels in Mombasa, Taita Taveta, and Nakuru.

Gachagua’s remarks come amid an intensifying political campaign, with the legislator increasingly criticizing the administration ahead of the 2027 elections. However, these claims were not independently verified at the time of reporting.
